OGII LAKE - is a freshwater lake in eastern Arkhangai, in central Mongolia. It is known for its fish and for birdlife. It is a stopover point for migrating waterbirds of the family Anatidae. Almost half the lake is less than 3 m deep.
There are several ger tourist camps around the lake.
KHUVSGUL LAKE - Surrounded by majestic mountains Khovsgol lake is the most beautiful lake in Mongolia . It is an ideal place for camping, fishing and hiking. The lake is surrounded by a dozen summits over 2,000 meters high, which are covered with pine forests, and its water is so pure and clear that you can drink it. The Siberian border is very close and yaks and horses graze quietly the lush grass meadows.
MORON - is the administrative center of Khövsgöl Aimag (province) in northern Mongolia. Good place to check your internet, buy some better food and enjoy some terrasses cafes.
SHINE IDER – A typical Mongolia village, 23 km south-southeast of Moron and 839 kilometers from Ulaanbaatar.
TERKHIIN TSAGAAN LAKE - also known as White Lake is a lake in the Khangai Mountains in central Mongolia. The Khorgo volcano is located near the eastern end of the lake and the Suman River. You can climb it to enjoy a gorgeous view of the landscape.
TSETSERLEG - is the capital of the Arkhangai province. It lies on the northeastern slopes of the Khangai Mountains, 600 km southwest of Ulaanbaatar. It has a population of 16,553. Tsetserleg has an airport, with regular connections from and to Ulan Bator, a theatre, hotel, hospital, and an agricultural college. The main industry is food processing.
TSENHER HOT SPRINGS - After spending so many days riding a motorbike, what could be nicer than soaking away the day’s exertions in the indoor or outdoor hot springs, coming out of the ground at 86.5 degrees centigrade.
KHARKHORIN - ancient capital of the Mongolian Unified Empire back to the XIII century and Erdene Zuu Monastery, a monastery built back in 1586 using not a single nail.
TUVKHUN MONASTERY -A SMALL 2 HOURS TREK - One of most beautiful monastery complex is situated on a forested rocky mountain, on the boarder of Uvurhangai and Arhangai provinces.
Enlightened Bogd Gegeen Zanabazar chose the place to build a monastery in 1648, when he was 14 years old. The construction of the monastery started in 1651.
ORKHON WATER FALL - falls from a height of 20 meters at Orkhon Waterfall, which is locally known as Ulaan Tsutgalan. The width of stream at the point where it forms the spectacular waterfall is 10 meters.
UYUNGA '"NINJAS" GOLD MINERS - Ninja miner is a nickname for a person who digs small unauthorized mines or pans dirt for gold in Mongolia. The miners are so named because the green bowls they use for panning, when carried on their backs, are said to resemble the shells of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
GOBI DESERT - The Gobi desert, one of the world's great deserts, covers much of the southern part of Mongolia. Unlike the Sahara there are few sand dunes in the Gobi; rather you'll find large barren expenses of gravel plains and rocky outcrops. The climate here is extreme. Temperatures reach +40° C. in summer, and -40 in winter. Precipitation averages less than 100 mm per year, while some areas only get rain once every two or three years. It contains the last remaining wild Bactrian (two-humped) camels, wild ass, and a small population of Gobi bears, the only desert-inhabiting bear.
ZORGOL - This granite rock high mountain is the sacred one and worshipped by local people every year. It has some springs, and holy peaks, where only men are allowed to reach there. The mountain is very rich with medical plants and mystical stories. There is the beautiful small lake called Khagiin next to the mountain in the east. Local people call it as the Princess lake and it is the main drinking water for the local herds of animals.
PREJEVALSKY HORSES - Khustain Nuruu (Birch mountain) Nature Reserve. The nature reserve is a mountain where wild Prejevalsky horses are being re-introduced. You can have a guided tour in the mountains and get acquanted with the horse preserving project.
